Security finance app
To display your account details, PocketGuard needs to view the transactions on your financial statements. We use Finicity to encrypt your login credentials. That is a well-known MasterCard company. With its help, our data aggregation partner establishes a secure connection with your card issuer. Some financial institutions even send a multi-factor authentication (MFA), such as a password or code, so that they can verify a real person. All of that makes any bank connection protected and secured.
For improved safety, we purposefully do not store any of your credit/debit card account credentials.
Once your credentials are confirmed, do not expect us to fully control your data. In fact, PocketGuard is granted "read-only" access to your transaction history. It means that PocketGuard can only see descriptions and amounts of your purchases. We cannot move money to or out of your accounts, nor can we change any aspect of your accounts.
